Why are so many Christians unfamiliar with the great men and women whom God has used throughout the history of His Church?
In this video, I examine seven reasons why historical Christian figures are often neglected today, including presentism, historical illiteracy, inaccessibility, anti-tradition thinking, pragmatism, the complexity of historical figures, and the loss of a historical view of the Church. More importantly, I argue that recovering our Christian heritage is not about glorifying the past—it is about learning from the faithful saints Christ has saved and worked through in the past.
