The Christian Heritage Center is a ministry dedicated to honoring, preserving, and learning from the heritage of godly figures from the past to better serve the church today.

We are a young ministry in its early stages and eager to attempt great things for the Lord. We are in our first year of implementing activities and developing resources. As an organization, we have an established board of directors and are under the authority of the local church. Lord willing, we will be incorporated soon.

Our History

Kyle Kearbey has been profoundly influenced by the life and ministry of the late Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. The Lord has used—and continues to use—Lloyd-Jones’ legacy to radically transform his understanding of preaching, ministry, revival, and Christianity holistically. More than any other historical figure, the Doctor has shaped Kyle’s ministry.

In January 2024, after years of being deeply impacted by Lloyd-Jones, Kyle awoke early one morning with a new idea: to start an organization dedicated to honoring, preserving, and learning from the heritage of godly figures from the past, such as Lloyd-Jones. The Lord had so greatly enriched Kyle’s soul through Lloyd-Jones’ work that he longed for the same to happen in the lives of fellow believers and, in particular, ministers of the gospel.

Immediately, Kyle began praying and considering the nature of such an undertaking. Before long, he started developing the foundational framework for the endeavor, desiring to model it after various aspects of Lloyd-Jones’ life and ministry. Within a month or two of working on the project, he sought the approval of his fellow church elders to pursue and establish the work. They heartily approved and commended the vision.

As the project took shape, Kyle reached out to individuals he believed would share his passion for the mission and have an affinity for the work. Soon, a provisional Board of Directors was formed, and the Lord’s providence graciously confirmed the direction of the work in many ways.

Originally, the project was to be named The Lloyd-Jones Institute, but after further consideration and the guidance of providence, a different name was chosen—one that more accurately expresses the breadth and depth of its mission, The Christian Heritage Center. The Lord has abundantly blessed and provided for this endeavor in its early stages, and we are confident that He will continue to do so in the years to come.

Our Beliefs

The CHC is an interdenominational organization, particularly regarding its constituency base, board composition, staffing, volunteers, partnerships, and the resources it produces and shares. As an organization, The CHC affirms the five Solas of the Protestant Reformation and stands in the tradition of Historic Christianity, as expressed in the ancient creeds (the Apostles’ Creed, the Creed of Chalcedon, and the Nicene Creed), as well as in the great Reformed confessions of faith, such as the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689 and the Westminster Confession of Faith.

The Christian Heritage Center fulfills its mission in the following ways:

Promoting Understanding And Appreciation Of Christian Heritage

Examples:
• Conducting historical research using primary and secondary sources, making these resources accessible to the public.
• Promoting the works of godly figures. Sharing and taking steps to make these more available and accessible.
• Spotlighting works and figures in various ways.

Instructing In Relevant Aspects Of Christian Truth With Such Heritage

Examples of relevant truth:
• Experiential Calvinism, Reformed doctrine, biographical courses, sound revival theology, evangelical unity, church history, historical theology, spiritual disciplines, systematic theology, pastoral ministry, the Christian life, expositional preaching, and the church’s role in God’s redemptive plan.

Methods:
• Competency-based education, cohort courses, academic programs, practicums, internships, research fellowships, and structured mentoring.

Providing Quality Resources On Christian Heritage

Examples:
• Various Resources: Journals, articles, digital resources, books, pamphlets, videos, courses, and audio recordings.
• Downloadable Materials: Provide access to articles, research papers, and study guides.
• Curated Content: Offer playlists or collections of videos, podcasts, or readings on specific topics.
• Centralized Portals: Build repositories for learners to easily access resources.

Facilitating Opportunities For Fellowship And Growth

Examples:
Ministerial fellowship, networking, fellowship cohorts, historical tours, conferences, seminars, discussion forums, Bible studies, and roundtable discussions.

Specific examples:
In 2025, three to four online instructional webinars will be facilitated.

These include:
• 1.5 -hour session, titled “How and why ministers should study godly historical figures?”
• 1.5 -hour session, titled “Martyn Lloyd-Jones and evangelistic preaching, lessons for Ministers”
• 1.5 – hour session, titled “Benefits of studying the Puritans”

Each of these sessions will include instruction, time for discussion and interaction, and prayer. These will be facilitated via Zoom.

Training And Equipping Ministers And Christians

Examples:
• Ministerial cohorts, pastoral theology courses, family worship seminars, and training sessions.

Specific examples:
• Beginning in July 2024, Kyle Kearbey facilitated a one-year pastoral ministry cohort. The cohort is comprised of nine two-hour online sessions of instruction and discussion of assigned reading and three four-hour in-person sessions.

We Are Committed To Honoring Faithful Figures In History

It is right to honor faithful individuals who tirelessly served Christ throughout history. Their lives and works should be widely known to inspire and edify the church.

We Are Committed To Propagating The Truth Of Scripture

Understanding and applying the truth of Scripture is essential for discipleship, spiritual growth, and Christian living. CHC prioritizes sharing warm, experiential Calvinistic and Reformed doctrine to benefit the wider church.

We Are Committed To Upholding Doctrinal, Practical, And Experiential Christianity

True Christianity integrates doctrine, ethics, and experience. CHC encourages this balance, especially among ministers, to ensure heartfelt preaching and faithful discipleship.

We Are Committed To Preparing And Strengthening Gospel Ministers

Following the example of several historical figures, CHC focuses on equipping pastors and aspiring ministers for effective ministry.

We Are Committed To Prioritizing The Nature And Importance Of Preaching

Preaching is central to biblical ministry. Inspired by Martyn Lloyd-Jones’ legacy, CHC seeks to promote and sustain expositional preaching for future generations.

• Scriptural Basis: Romans 10:14-17, 1 Corinthians 1:17, Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 4:1-2.

We Are Committed To Equipping Christians For Bold Living

Biblical understanding leads to bold and holy living. CHC believes Christians need to be equipped to proclaim the truth positively and live godly lives in the world.

• Scriptural Basis: Acts 2:42, Acts 4:31, Ephesians 4:12-16, Matthew 5:13-16.

We Are Committed To Ensuring Biblical Integrity In All Things

All activities and endeavors of CHC must be conducted with integrity, honesty, and excellence in accordance with God’s Word. We live and minister before the face of God.

We Are Committed To Recognizing The Primacy Of The Local Church

The local church is central to God’s redemptive purposes. Because it is the unique mission of the church to teach and train, CHC operates under, partners with, and supports local churches, aligning its activities with their mission.

We Are Committed To Glorifying God In Everything

The ultimate goal of all CHC’s work is to glorify God. Faithfulness in its mission ensures God is honored.
